  1. Use a unique, 16+ character password on every account.
  2. Use a password manager so you never have to remember the long ones.
  3. Enable two-factor authentication on email, banking, and social accounts.
  4. Replace any password you have reused on two or more sites.
  5. Check your most important passwords against the Have I Been Pwned breach corpus.
  6. Remove unused sessions and devices from each account every six months.
  7. Lock your phone and laptop with a strong passcode and full-disk encryption.
  8. Keep a paper-only recovery sheet for your most critical accounts in a safe place.
  9. Never type a password on a page you reached by clicking an email link.
  10. Re-check your master password's entropy every year as hardware gets faster.
