Password Ideas for Roblox
Kid-friendly Roblox password ideas that resist scams, plus settings parents should know.
Roblox accounts hold Robux and limited items that can be traded and sold, which makes them a target for theft. Most compromised accounts are lost through "free Robux" sites, fake trading offers or a friend who asks to "borrow" the login. Because many players are children, the password often ends up being something easy like a pet name or favourite character, which friends and classmates can guess.
Roblox requires at least 8 characters, but 12 or more is much safer. For a younger player, a passphrase of three or four random words with a number (for example, the structure Word-Word-Word-7) is easy to remember and far harder to guess than a name. Parents should keep a copy in a family password manager or in a safe place at home, and children should know the one rule that matters most: never tell the password to a friend or type it into any site except roblox.com.
Turn on 2-Step Verification in the account's Security settings so a stolen password is not enough. Parents can also add an Account PIN, which locks important settings until the PIN is entered, and use Roblox's parental controls to manage spending and chat.
Example password patterns
Two random words joined with a hyphen, plus a 2-digit number and a symbol — e.g. Word-Word##!
A short phrase you'll remember (4 words), separators between each word, no spaces — e.g. Word_Word_Word_Word
Acronym from a movie quote or song line + the year you first heard it + a symbol — e.g. FirstLettersYYYY!
Three uncommon words concatenated, with a digit and a symbol — e.g. WordWordWord#9
Mix of casing and one substitution per word (don't overdo it — substitutions don't add much entropy) — e.g. wOrd-wOrd-99!
